In August, I got back on my business/self-improvement grind for reading and took a stab at Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T Harv Eker.
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is basically a book for those who want to improve their relationship with money. This book changes how you think about money, how you treat others who have money, and most importantly, how you can get money.
Eker goes in depth on the difference between a Rich and Poor mindset (oh hey Rich Dad, Poor Dad) and gives prime examples of how rich and poor people operate differently.
He gives great examples of the limiting belief that are rooted in the American lifestyle such as “money doesn’t grow on trees” or “rich people are only rich because they steal and take advantage of the poor.” If these thoughts have gone into your mind, this book will do wonders for you.
I will say he takes an extreme stance on certain situations when comparing the poor to the wealthy, but thats how you get sales! He does give that disclaimer in the book, that if you are what is considered “middle class” you may have a combination of a few rich traits and a few poor traits.
Overall, he gives great detail on how everything starts with the mind. If you have a positive mindset when it comes to money, you can attract more of it to you. This book at times can seem very brainwashy, but if you want to improve your mindset regarding money and explore ways to grow your wealth, this is an absolute must read.
Full disclaimer, you might hate this book. But you also might love it, it’s incredibly polarizing.
